AUC second branch is in New Cairo. 

  • Libraries - The American University in Cairo Press today operates in Cairo five libraries, and is unique for its comprehensive selection of the English language for more than 20,000 titles, its long tradition of international bookselling experience, and its professional staff.
  • Nursery - The children's day care center "Early Years Company", located on the AUC New Cairo premises, is governed by a non-governmental organization (NGO), priority is given to the children of the AUC staff and faculty.
  • Transportation - Bus services, carpool, club carts and bike share.
  • Sport Facilities - AUC has a state-of-the-art Sports Center with facilities for everything from karate to basketball to yoga.
  • Medical Services - Health care and wellness.
  • Arts - MetOpera, Arts at AUC and Tahrir Cultural Center starting its new 100 years, The American University in Cairo is enriching the cultural scene in Egypt. Tahrir Cultural Center - TCC - is launched in the iconic AUC Tahrir Square Campus to offer an array of cultural activities, events and services that will serve the entire Egyptian community. The mission is to spread, create and preserve culture.
  • Accommodation - The AUC faculty housing office is committed to providing comfortable accommodation for eligible relocated faculty members, administrators and interns, and to establish through its services and resources, an atmosphere that assists in their personal growth and ensures a pleasant stay in Cairo in support of the university’s mission.
  • Food Court - Eating on campus is an essential part of your day, but also an integral part of campus life. AUC offers a variety of healthy, affordable, and delicious food.
  • Parking - New automated Parking Access System (PAS). This system will make entering and exiting campus easier, and a true cashless experience.
  • Travel Services - The travel office was established to help faculty and staff members, administrators, and students with their travel plans. It handles business and personal trips, in Egypt or abroad through our corporate deals with excellent hotels, and monitors policies set by the administration for these types of travel.
  • ATM and Banking Services - A branch of the Commercial International Bank (CIB) is located on the plaza level of the Administration Building. CIB’s office hours are from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Sunday through Thursday, ATMs and cashier.
