In the early twentieth century in 1908, Prince Youssef Kamal Ibn Prince Ahmed Kamal Pasha established his architectural group on the banks of the western shore of the Nile River, in the city of Nag Hammadi, north of Qena Governorate, which is bordered to the north by Port Said Street and to the west by Sheikh Imran Street and to the south by Street Agrarian reform, which oversees the east from the eternal river, under the supervision of architect of the palaces António Laciak, one of the most famous architects who came to Egypt at the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century, and the palace was registered as an Islamic monument in 1988.

 Prince Yusef Kamal Banja Hammadi Palace consists of 9 unique architectural units, erected on an area of ​​10 acres, but decreased with the passage of days, as parts of the palace were carved out to governmental agencies and service interests, and the palace consists of the interior from two floors, basement, enchanted floor and roof The ground floor, and one of the most beautiful things in the palace is "wooden elevators made by the prince specially for his sick mother in the heart", and occupies the dining hall southwest of the salmak, and it has 4 ceramic facades.

Prince Yusef Kamal was born in the year (1300 AH / 1882 AD), and he is from the Alawite family founded by Muhammad Ali Pasha and ruled Egypt about one hundred and forty seven years (1805 AD - 1952 AD) and follows the rule of Egypt (11) of the rulers, including the governor or Pasha, including the Khedive and some of them The Sultan, including the King.

Prince Yusef Kamal, like the rest of the Alevi family, received a great deal of attention in education as well as education, as he was dispatched to Europe on an educational mission during which he was able to acquire a high culture.

 

He was fond of Islamic arts and architecture and a collection of antiques and collectibles, where he established a school of fine arts in 1905 in Darb El Gamamiz, which later became the Faculty of Fine Arts, and founded the Society of Fine Arts Lovers in 1924, and participated in the founding of the Egyptian Academy of Arts in Rome.

 

Prince Yusef Kamal was concerned with geographical and astronomical aspects, as he was fond of hunting in the prairies and deserts. He made many trips to Africa and the countries of India and Kashmir and authored a group of books describing these trips, including my travel book in the countries of India and Kashmir in the year (1915 AD), as well as books in the field of geography Also, a lot of money was spent translating and Arabizing many foreign books.
