Things to See and Do

It is named after the Ain Sokhna due to the large number of hot sulfur eyes in it, which are used for hospitalization. It has non-rocky beaches with white sand, and it is considered a summer resort throughout the summer months and winter, and there are several tourist areas and villages that contain hotels and chalets, and the Ain Sokhna Hotel, which was established in the early sixties, is the oldest of all, also Ain Sokhna is close to Cairo - where it is a distance from it about 140 kilometers approximately.

The French Archeology mission in Ain Sokhna found on February 8, 2006 an archaeological treasure dating back to the period of the modern and middle states in Egypt, dating back more than four thousand years, in the region of Galala mountain. A similar German expedition discovered a huge statue of King Amenhotep the Third.
