Coastal Forest Reserve is one of the nature reserves in Egypt, which is located in the northeastern corner of Egypt and at the gateway to its borders with the State of Palestine, and the region is one of the sources that the state seeks to preserve and protect as one of the areas expected to have positive effects on soil protection, dense vegetation, water resources and mammals, reptiles and resident and migratory wild birds.
The Forest Reserve announced by the decision of the Prime Minister No. 1429 of 1985 and amended by Resolution No. 3379 of 1996 in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 102 of 1983 regarding natural reserves.
