The city of Banha is the capital of the Qalyubia Governorate in Egypt. Dubbed "Honey Banha", where the benhawy honey is one of the finest types. It is about 45 km north of Cairo. Surrounded by water from the south, east and west, it has become a peninsula.
The city of Benha is located in the central delta region, bordered to the east by Sharkeya Governorate, to the north by the cities of Mit Ghamr and Zafta in Dakahlia Governorate, to the south by Qalyub and the Greater Cairo Region, and to the west by Menouf in Menoufia Governorate.
