Damietta is a coastal city and the capital of Damietta Governorate in Egypt, located 200 km north of Cairo.
Damietta is characterized by abundant guava plantations, especially in Kafr Al-Batikh. The number of palm trees is about 2.5 million, covering the coast from Ras al-Bar in the east to Gamasa in the west and from the sea in the north to the highway and south of the village of Riyadh in the south, except for the new Damietta region. Damietta has exported more than a million palm trees to several countries, the most important of which are Greece and China.
